Canal 7 upgrades control center monitoring with Kaleido-X

Argentina’s Canal 7 has installed a Miranda Technologies Kaleido-X multi-image display processor as part of a digital refurbishment of its monitoring and control center in Buenos Aires.

The new Kaleido-X processor feeds 32 signals to six 42in LCD monitors, used for production monitoring. Canal 7 produces its own content, including live programming, from six studios and multiple local newsrooms.

The Kaleido-X allows multiple displays across multiple rooms to be controlled independently using a remote panel or on-screen mouse action. The monitoring layouts can be reconfigured quickly for different productions, with full flexibility over window positioning and sizing. The Kaleido-X also will support Canal 7’s future expansion into HD.
