Broadcast Pix to highlight 3G 1080p upgrade for production system

Broadcast Pix will showcase its new 3G Switcher Frame, a 3Gb/s 1080p upgrade for its Slate live video production systems, during IBC2009.

The new upgrade will provide simultaneous multidefinition SDI I/O for 1080p, 1080i, 720p and SD. It creates a 3G 1080p integrated production system, including switcher, multiviewer, 100-hour clip store, graphics stores, Inscriber character generator and Fluent workflow software.

The 3G upgrade helps future-proof Broadcast Pix systems with the emerging 1080p standard. The upgrade is a separate frame, which simplifies wiring, increases the amount of I/O and further enhances robustness. The frame accepts up to 20 SDI inputs plus another 16 video and key inputs of clips and graphics.

See Broadcast Pix at IBC2009 in Stand 7.A15.
