BBC uses Crystal Vision HD DA for concluding concert in "Proms" series

BBC Outside Broadcasts has used Crystal Vision's HDDA108R for its “Last Night of the Proms” production.

The event was produced in HD to support international broadcasters, including NHK in Japan, where it was transmitted in HD from tape.

BBC Outside Broadcasts used the HD DAs on the output of its main HD video switcher in the teleproduction truck. Signals were also sent to the lighting director in the auditorium at the Royal Albert Hall, who used an HD monitor to check the visual effects.

The modular distribution amplifier is one of Crystal Vision's first two HD products and fits in all of the company's existing frames.
