Avid announces Pinnacle Studio version 10 to support HDV

Avid Technology last week released to manufacturing Pinnacle Studio version 10, its next generation of home video editing with support for HDV.

Pinnacle Studio 10 will be available in two packages: Studio and Studio Plus. Both support the HDV format. The latest Studio release is the first since Avid completed its acquisition of Pinnacle Systems this summer.

The buy-out of Pinnacle gave Avid a strong brand presence in the consumer market, and the inclusion of HDV support indicates the company is positioning the consumer video editing software application for the future.

Avid Technology anticipates product availability in October. For more information, visit www.avid.com.
