AccuWeather to launch HD weather graphics system at NAB2007

AccuWeather will unveil an advanced HD weather graphics system at NAB2007 in Las Vegas.

The new system will allow viewers to visualize the actual weather they will be experiencing on their street corner tomorrow.

The advanced graphics system supports HD and SD and features 3-D, lifelike cinema-quality graphics. Weather presentations come to life as on-air talent can be made to appear as if they are actually in the middle of a snow storm, downpour or other weather event, while standing or walking next to a local, virtual landmark. Extremely detailed 3-D models of cities and landmarks are available for most major markets.

Graphics on every layer and in every format — 2-D, 3-D, HD, SD — are produced live, in real time.
