WCYB-TV enhances Crispin automation system

Crispin recently received an upgrade enhancement order from WCYB-TV, an NBC affiliate owned by Bluestone Television. WCYB-TV serves the Tri-Cities of Tennessee and Virginia (Bristol, Kingsport and Johnson City.)

Crispin’s upgrade package delivers performance enhancements, increased reliability and stability, and new security features through Windows XP Professional. XP Professional includes security and privacy features and an improved ability to connect to large networks.

The purchase includes seven rack-mountable high-end workstations that have a dual power supply and dual mirrored hard drives. WCYB-TV has two RapidPlayX workstations for playlist editing and on-air playback; two Dubber workstations for acquisition and preparation of material for fully-automated on-air playback; one AssetBase workstation for Web-enabled media management; and two DeviceServer/EventServer workstations for redundancy.

WMUR-TV Says FAA Drone Rules Preclude ENG
