vsn to showcase broadcast automation advances at IBC

vsn will showcase vsnmulticon, a new high-performance broadcast automation system, at IBC. The system is compatible with VDCP servers from such companies as Avid/Pinnacle, EVS, Grass Valley, Omneon and Sony.

The vsnmulticon system also manages tape robots, subtitling systems and graphics from many third parties. It offers multichannel automation and various levels of redundancy, the company said.

Also at IBC, the company will show vsntraffic, a scalable broadcast traffic and management system designed to ease broadcast planning. It manages content, costs and advertising, along with multichannel playlists and blocks.

Broadcast logs and historic logs are accessible for billing and future planning. The vsntraffic module provides a multiplatform solution based on Web technology (HTML and Java), so no client software is needed.
