TANDBERG Television acquires N2 Broadband

TANDBERG Television has completed its acquisition of the Atlanta-based N2 Broadband, a provider of scalable, open-platform solutions for on-demand entertainment. The purchase price is $118 million, made up of a mixture of TANDBERG Television’s shares and cash.

With the completion of this purchase, N2 Broadband will be integrated into TANDBERG Television. The company will now operate under TANDBERG’s name in all markets. N2 Broadband’s President and CEO, Reggie Bradford, takes on the role of TANDBERG Television’s president. The new combined business unit will be headquartered in Atlanta, with a development facility in Denver, and sales offices on both the east and west coasts and in Canada.

The combined resources of N2 Broadband and TANDBERG will provide users with a complete solution for the delivery of on-demand digital multimedia content.

N2 Broadband’s on-demand entertainment solutions have already been integrated with TANDBERG’s video compression systems.
