SysMedia to debut DVB subtitler at IBC2007

Sysmedia will debut its recently launched SDR7 DVB subtitle inserter/transcoder at IBC2007. The SDR7 uses teletext subtitling protocols and can extract teletext subtitles from an analog video signal and convert them to the equivalent DVB subtitles.

The product provides a solution to a recurrent issue for broadcasters in a world of multiple formats. It will also assist in the compliance with legislation in terms of subtitle provision. The SDR7 is designed to complement existing teletext subtitling systems.
