Russia Today airs with Dalet

Russia’s newest television channel, Russia Today, has chosen Dalet’s end-to-end news production solution, the DaletPlus News Suite, to drive its newsroom production and playout operations.

Owned and operated by the Russian government, the new station will offer its 24-hour Russian news programs in English to viewers around the world. The DaletPlus News Suite system will be at the core of the channel’s operation providing ingest, editing, rundown/playout and archiving functionality.

DaletPlus News Suite is integrated with Omneon video servers and vizRT graphics systems. The Russia Today staff will be able to source materials, write/edit stories, broadcast and archive using one user interface populated across the staffs’ desktop computers. The DaletPlus News Suite integrated environment will allow the Russia Today to effectively manage the entire news production process from ingest to archive.
