RTV Belgium invests in ON-AIR’s playKast

RTV Belgium has signed a deal with ON-AIR Systems to invest in playKast Komplete automation for two existing channels. RTV is launching the channels with fully synchronized redundant backups in SD, but the playKast systems are already configured to enable HD playout as soon as RTV is ready to migrate to HD broadcasting.

RTV shoots in Panasonic P2 formats and uses Avid for editing. MXF files will be transferred from the Avid systems to the playKast systems, using Marquis Broadcast’s Medway software, to be played out.
