Red Bee Media selects PubliTronic for BBC HD

Red Bee Media has selected PubliTronic NEXUS playout servers and Cobalt automation for playout of BBC HD, the new commerical European HD channel from BBC Worldwide, across Europe. Red Bee is reducing its time to air down to eight to 10 weeks with the selection of Publitronic and gained a high degree of flexibility and functionality.

PubliTronic’s solution is integrated with the channel's scheduling system Zeus, from Phoenix 7. The NEXUS servers prove particularly efficient for handling secondary broadcasting events, with support for DVB subtitling in the ASI stream (in Norwegian, Swedish and Danish), Dolby E and MXF content for automated nearline storage and content asset management.
