Princton Server Group integrates Calypso for legacy VTR control

Princeton Server Group has added the Calypso control systems Pro I/O master controller to its list of system enhancements for its digital video broadcast suite.

The development stems from customers requiring continuing support for their legacy video tape deck players during their migration to an all-digital file-based playout and workflow.

Now, from within the PSG browser-based user interface, station operators can seamlessly schedule video playouts from hard drive, graphic overlays, JPEGs, video switch events and using Calypso, send native control commands to any IR or serial controllable playback device.
