Omnibus adopts new approach to IBC demos

Reflecting a new focus on rigorous quality assurance, Omnibus will show delivered and working general availability releases of its product suites at IBC2005. Beta software previews can only be seen by private invitation.

Four products are to be featured:

  • The OPUS content management and workflow suite v1.1 are task-based products that can publish to Avid Unity and GVG Profile systems.
  • The Automated Transmission Suite v3.1 includes dynamic device allocation across multiple streams, with timeline-based track displays to show multilayered events.
  • The Broadcast Control Suite provides tailored device control, using flexible network interfaces to allow more people to use more resources efficiently.
  • The HeadLine Newsroom Suite includes ingest applications; intuitive journalist-desktop timeline editing with MPEG-1 and WM9; a multiformat field editor with DV capture; and news production automation.
