Ningbo TV installs Omneon playout server

Omneon has installed its first Spectrum media server in the People's Republic of China.

The system at Ningbo TV includes 300 hours of storage and two channels, one to playout Ningbo TV's new children's channel, which went live in June, and the second for future expansion.

Ningbo TV currently broadcasts 100 hours of programming per day on five channels. Under the control of Founder's automation software, material is ingested from VTRs to the Omneon server and then played out to air, also under automation control.
