Marquis Broadcast announces availability of Operal v3 process analysis and documentation system at IBC2007

Marquis Broadcast is shipping a new version of its Operal process design and documentation system. The new and enhanced features allow broadcasters to design, simulate and measure productivity for new digital workflows prior to implementation.

Operal v3 features detailed mathematical process simulation and modeling with a graphics-based task analysis tool that provides full graphical representation of multiple high-level processes. Broadcasters can run real-time operational simulations of proposed digital workflows, and generate a system process map to which various scenarios can be applied based on resource allocation and workflow design.

A task timeline is also included in v3 that covers all details of activities, inputs and processes for each workflow. This provides easy identification of operator levels and tools, including hardware, software and networks, along with descriptions of each resource’s availability and capabilities.
