ION Media Networks turns to GlobeCast America for channel origination and playout services

American TV group ION Media Networks has turned to content management and delivery company GlobeCast for full origination and master control for two of its channels from its Sunrise Broadcast Center in Florida, which is co-located with HBO Latin America.

GlobeCast receives ION Network’s feed at the Sunrise Broadcast Center and regionalizes the channels, including ad insertion and graphic overlay. The tailored channels are then sent via fiber to ION’s digital transmitters in West Palm Beach and Miami for distribution to millions of homes in the greater Miami/Palm Beach area.
