IdeasUnlimited.tv extends capabilities of ContentProbe

IdeasUnlimited.tv has added new functionality to its ContentProbe conformance recorder. With the possibility of legal compliance recording for Web streaming and delivering content to mobile devices, IdeasUnlimited.tv has added IP stream recording to the conformance recorder. Using the company’s Media FingerPrinting technology, ContentProbe compares multiple versions of the same content and flags differences.

The BitRot option adds the ability to reduce the storage required by dropping a number of frames of video from the recorded sequence. There might be one or two frames per second of video retained, although the complete audio is kept. This allows users to search back through the content and get a good idea of what was transmitted, without significantly increasing storage requirements.
