Etere enters Australian market with TVSN

Etere has launched its first software system in Australia with TVSN, Australia’s only home shopping channel. TVSN, which operates from Sydney with broadcasting 24/7, reaches more than 2 million homes in Australia. Each month it produces around 220 hours of live programming, and is carried on pay-TV networks FOXTEL, AUSTAR and Optus.

The system will use video servers from Omneon and Harris. The Etere applications include automation, traffic, media manager, browsing and transcoding

The 12TB disk archive extends the video server capacity. Etere Media Manager manages transfer to and from the archive.
