Duluth-Superior PBS stations install four channels of NVerzion automation

Duluth-Superior, MN-area station WDSE and Hibbing sister station WRPT have completed installation of their new NVerzion automation and nearline NAS storage package that will provide around-the-clock playout of the stations’ four channels, with unattended, overnight operation.

The automation includes server and master control interface as well as an automated traffic system. WDSE and WRPT have also added a complete backup and storage solution for the station’s media database that includes two 48/1500 TeraStore Nearline NAS storage boxes with embedded XPansion file management software with up to 31,000 total hours of SD content encoded at 8Mb/s or a mix of HD content, based on the preferred HD encoding bit rates.

The installation included NVerzion’s NControl/MC with NControl/MC Backup, NConvert/CPIM interface with Myers Information Systems/Protrack traffic system as well as several additional NVerzion acquisition and prep applications.
