DTG announces new Eclipse content lifecycle product

[Story:] Digital Transaction Group (DTG) will exhibit a new automation product, Eclipse, April 18-21 at NAB2005. Eclipse is designed to simplify and automate the complex workflows and processes involved in the management, distribution and delivery of content. Eclipse tracks all your content, programming and scheduling data. Its rules and policies automate workflow tasks based on user-defined criteria, and relationships between content, schedules, resources and devices. This reduces the need for "material handling" and increases productivity. It also provides customers the ability to process, catalog and deliver content in traditional broadcast workflows and to meet the challenge of new modes and models of delivery. This increases the potential value of the content by providing access for repurposing and reuse.

DTG's new Eclipse product provides broadcasters a new architecture going beyond traditional automation. It offers a scalable, reliable and frame-accurate solution using high quality off-the-shelf hardware, standard IT networking, and a high performance object relational SQL database.
