Controlware announces Video-over-IP partnership with T-VIPS

Controlware has entered into a partnership with Norwegian technology company T-VIPS for the distribution of the latter's product portfolio in North America. The new relationship will combine Controlware's expertise in video networking and management with T-VIPS's solutions for using IP networks to transport professional broadcast video.

Controlware will provide sales and support for T-VIPS's TVG 420 and TVG 410 solutions. The TVG 420 is an ASI-to-IP video gateway for the transmission of compressed video-over-IP networks, featuring multiple ASI inputs and outputs, a GigE network interface, Pro-MPEG FEC, integrated Web control, and SNMP support for integration with network management systems. The TVG 410 transmits and receives uncompressed SDI video over IP. Based on the MPEG Forum's COP-3 and COP-4 video delivery standards, both products handle video-over-IP transmissions within a small footprint.
