Barco adds dual-core, dual-CPU processing to TransForm AX6

Barco has announced the new TransForm AX6 display controller. The AX6 brings cost-effective scalability to small- and medium-sized control room setups. It runs on a dual-core Intel Xeon Processor platform with standard PCI-X bus, features a redundant onboard dual 10/100/1000 Mb/s LAN interface and a redundant hot-swap power supply. Six extension slots allow it to take the company’s TransForm A input and output cards, such as the company's new second-generation streaming video card (SVC-2). In addition, extended flexibility is offered through the use of the TransForm A OmniBus that provides a backbone to the graphic and video system.
