Advanced Broadcast Services selects Pinnacle MediaStream

Pinnacle's Mediastream 8000 video server

Advanced Broadcast Services is using Pinnacle Systems’ MediaStream 8000 server to help double channel capacity as it swells from 15 to 30.

Situated at Advanced Broadcast Services’ West London headquarters, the MediaStream 8000 delivers up to 100 channels with each chassis capable of 16 input/output channels, plus integration with other Pinnacle and third party products including archiving and automation systems.

Advanced Broadcast Services has already filled six of its 15 new channels for broadcaster B4U. MediaStream centralizes B4U’s playout operations and transmits feeds to the Sky digital platform in the UK, cable and satellite networks in Europe and the Middle East, Echostar in the United States, MultiChoice for Africa and FTA cable for India.
