The American Meteorological Society has presented its 2006 Award for Outstanding Services to Meteorology to AWS Convergence Technologies, parent company of WeatherBug. The award officially recognizes the WeatherBug network for its leadership in providing real-time data for government, industry and education.

WeatherBug founder and CEO, Bob Marshall will accept the award in a formal presentation on Feb. 1 in Atlanta.

WeatherBug has established partnerships with over 100 television stations in the United States and Puerto Rico and has 8,000 tracking stations and more than 1,000 remote cameras located across the country for weather observation.
