TVB Tech Alert II: Virtual Video Map Auto Debut

PEBBLE BEACH, CALIF.: Infiniti is unveiling its newest M at the Councours d’Elegance next week in this posh Monterrey Bay gated community, but the world will be privy to a virtual debut. Infiniti intends to Webcast the reveal in a 3D video of the 2011 M using virtual video mapping. Images of the car will be created by projecting information derived from engineering data onto a 3D clay model.

San Antonio, Texas, NewTek is in on the project, providing its TriCaster for simultaneous streaming and onsite video switching. The event is being produced by High Impact Television

No actual automobiles will be harmed used in the commission of the project. The reveal is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 15, at 6:30 p.m. Pacific Time on the Infiniti Web site.
