Tribune Broadcasting Appoints Senior Engineering VP

Tribune Broadcasting has named Hank Hundemer senior vice president of engineering. Hundemer does the same gig for Tribune’s third-part management firm, The Other Company. Hundemer previously spent 13 years at WKRC-TV, a CW affiliate in Cincinnati, owned by Newport Television. Before going to WKRC, Hundemer worked in the natural gas transport industry.

Tribune, in the midst of bankruptcy, has 23 TV stations in addition to its newspapers, radio, real estate and the Cubbies baseball team--for now. A buyer for the baseball team is expected to be named this week. The employee-owned company is $13 billion in debt.
