Telenor selects T-VIPS for Norwegian DTT network

Telenor Satellite Broadcasting has awarded a contract to T-VIPS to supply technology to allow it to provide Norges Televisjon (NTV) with regional TV services for the planned DTT network in Norway.

As part of the deal, T-VIPS will provide Telenor with a system to enable NTV to adapt its signals for specific regions. The T-VIPS solution includes:

  • CP512 DTT TS processor designed for terrestrial network operators to adapt Transport Streams for regional coverage;
  • CP540 monitoring solution, which provides intelligent network redundancy switchover between two MPEG-2 transport streams; and
  • T-VIPS Connect Management Solution to manage contribution and distribution networks.
