Telecast HD/POV To Make European Debut
Telecast Fiber Systems will feature its high definition point-of-view transmission link, part of the Viper II series of modular fiber optic platforms, at this year's IBC. The HD/POV carries all digitally and optically multiplexed signals on a fiber optic cable to streamline the acquisition of HD images.

The platform supports bi-directional transmission of HD/SDI video and data signals from remote robotic cameras, so HDTV broadcasts can be produced from sports and entertainment venues. It sends return video/genlock/tri-level sync back to the camera, and handles tally/closure signals and two duplex control data signals for camera and PTZ control. The HD/POV is available in rack-mountable or "throw-down" configuration.
