Tech Emmys Awarded
The National Television Academy held its 57th annual ceremony for the Science and Technology area of the Technology and Engineering Emmy awards in Princeton, NJ on September 29.
The categories and awardees were as follows:

Slow-motion color recording and playback for broadcast:
• Ampex
• ABC, The American Broadcasting Company

Closed caption standardization:
• ABC, The American Broadcasting Company
• PBS, The Public Broadcasting Service
• CEA, The Consumer Electronic Association

Pioneering development of locally integrated and branded content using IP Store and forward technology:
• The WB

Lens technology developments for solid state imagers cameras in high definition formats are:
• Canon
• Fujinon
• Thales Angenieux

First intercontinental satellite TV transmission:
• AT&T

WMUR-TV Says FAA Drone Rules Preclude ENG
