Sen. Stevens to Address Annual MSTV Conference
Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Ted Stevens is scheduled to address Maximum Service Television's (MSTV) annual DTV conference on Oct. 5.

The one-day conference in Washington, D.C. will focus on issues affecting the DTV transition. Policy makers and business and technology experts are expected to attend. Registration is $300.

Tribune Broadcasting President and MSTV Chairman Paul Mullen will welcome attendees to the event. MSTV President David Donovan and Richard Wiley, managing partner of Wiley Rein & Field LLP, will moderate the first session at 9:45 a.m., "Broadcast Television: Bringing It All Home." Panel speakers include Hearst-Argyle Television President David Barrett, Morgan Murphy Stations President Elizabeth Murphy Burns, LIN TV President Gary Chapman and CBS Television Executive Vice President, Marty Franks.

During lunch, FCC Commissioner Kathleen Abernathy will lead a presentation honoring the cooperative efforts of Gulf Region local TV stations during Hurricane Katrina.

Other sessions including, "Government's Challenge: Helping the Consumer," "DTV Elections: Conflict Resolution and Beyond," "Digital Convergence: Conflict or Cooperation" and "Relocating ENG Services in the BAS Band."
