OmniBus Appoints James Howard and Byars Cole to Sales Management Positions
OmniBus Systems, the award-winning provider of comprehensive automation and content management solutions to the broadcast industry, announced the appointment of two new additions to its team: James Howard as channel sales program manager and Byars Cole as Northeast regional sales manager.

Howard will be responsible for establishing a new channel sales program in the United States and also for managing several key accounts as a direct sales manager. Prior to joining OmniBus Systems, Howard held management and sales positions at Harris Broadcasting. Howard began his broadcast career in local television and since then has held a variety of technical and management positions. Throughout his 23 years of experience in the broadcasting and automation industry, he has won a number of sales performance awards, as well as an Emmy for sports cinematography for the PGA Senior Golf Tour.

Cole, who brings 19 years of media industry experience to OmniBus Systems' United States operations, will work closely with PBS and manage OmniBus' participation in the PBS ACE initiative. Prior to joining OmniBus, he was most recently the business development manager for Siemens Business Services Media (formally BBC Technology). Cole brings a wide-ranging knowledge of the broadcast industry to OmniBus which stems from his production and business-development efforts at Mass Illusions and from his experience as co-founder and manager of market development for two startup companies: Suspended Animation and PettyCard.

"Jim's award-winning production talents and experience will prove to be a great asset in working with our partners and establishing a new channel sales program while supporting our existing reseller network," stated Dave Polyard, senior vice president of sales and marketing at OmniBus. "Likewise, Byars' experience in client management, sales, and business development in the media industry will improve the services we offer our customers and help us to expand our market share in the Northeast region. We're pleased to welcome both Jim and Byars on board."

Howard will be based in the Seattle area, and Cole will be based in the New York City area. Both will report to Polyard.
