NTC Receives Excellence Award
has been selected by The Los Angeles County chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association
as co-recipient of NCEA's Electrical Excellence Award. The award was based on media systems design and construction administration services provided by NTC in connection with new HBO headquarters in Santa Monica, Calif.
"A panel of industry professionals make the award selections based on criteria that include originality, aesthetics, workmanship, and difficulty of installation," said Bart Dickson Jr., assistant chapter manager of the Los Angeles County chapter of NCEA. "The Awards competition considers several different categories based on the types of projects and their dollar values. The HBO Santa Monica Headquarters Audiovisual Systems project won in the Electronic Systems (over $500,000) category. The award recognizes the electronic systems contractor (Direct A/V) as well as the owner (HBO), and electrical engineer (NTC)."
NTC was responsible for designing the infrastructure and systems necessary to support editing suites, duplicating facilities conference rooms and offices at HBO headquarters.
"We are very pleased to share in this important award with Direct A/V and HBO," said John Aalto, NTC senior vice president. "These systems support editing, screening and duplication of media, plus office CATV, VOD, DBS and locally generated channels."
