NABA Honors Fritts in Atlanta
It’s not NAB but NABA that was honoring Eddie Fritts this week.

The North American Broadcasters Association held its annual meeting at CNN World Headquarters in Atlanta; the group represents North American broadcasters at the ITU and WIPO and is based in Toronto.

Topics of the conference included WiMax and white spaces, the push toward handheld devices and digital innovations.

Presidential leadership of the organization was handed from Ray Carnovale, vice president and chief technology officer of of CBC/Radio Canada to Leonardo Ramos Mateos of Grupo Televisa.

Fritts received the organization’s International Achievement Award. Shown in the photo are Secretary General Donald Baylor, President Leonardo Ramos Mateos and Fritts; John Lyons snapped the photo for Radio World.
