Media 3 Installs A Broadcast Pix Slate 2100 Switcher
Video production company Media 3 Ltd has installed a Broadcast Pix Slate 2100 switcher at their facility in midtown Manhattan. Media 3 recently opened a brand-new 16,000 square foot facility from which they provide live shot services for domestic and international networks and media groups.

The Slate 2100 integrates a production switcher, control panel, Inscriber CG, transitional effects, chromakeyer, clip store and multi-view monitoring in a single workstation-based system that can be operated either by keyboard and mouse or by a production-style control panel.

The Slate’s affordability was a key factor in the purchase, as were the switcher’s fail-safe features. The 2100 is connected to the iBoB ‘breakout box’ with both a network cable and a redundant serial cable, meaning that should the computer network fail, the serial cable takes over and switching can continue.
