Houston CBS Affiliate KHOU To Go HD On Super Bowl Sunday
KHOU, a CBS affiliate located in Houston, Texas, is set to begin broadcasting news in HD on Super Bowl Sunday. The station—channel 11 in the Houston area—will be the first in that market to have done so, according to station officials.

“The superior quality of High Definition will give 11News viewers with HD capabilities a local news experience like never before,” says Peter Diaz, KHOU-TV president and general manager. “We’re pleased to be the first station in the market to bring this new technology to Houston area news viewers.”

Their evening and nightly newscasts will be produced in HD, as well as the 9 a.m. talk show Great Day Houston. KHOU joins the approximately 25 to 30 stations around the U.S. now broadcasting local news in HD.
