Haygood Named President and General Manager of Louisville’s WLKY-TV
Glenn Haygood will become president and general manager of WLKY-TV in Louisville, Ky., effective March 17. The appointment was announced by David Barrett, president and CEO of Hearst-Argyle Television, which owns the Kentucky CBS affiliate.

Previously, Haygood served as general sales manager at WXII-TV, Hearst-Argyle’s NBC affiliate in Greensboro, N.C. During Haygood’s eight-year tenure there, the station had as many consecutive years of growth in market revenue share. Before working at WXII-TV, Haygood was the general manager of WGPX-TV in Greensboro, where he managed a television studio and transmitter build-out and launched a new PAX affiliate.

He succeeds James Carter, who’s now running WESH-TV and WKCF-TV, the Hearst-Argyle NBC and CW affiliates in the Orlando, Fla. Market.
