Fox Sports Streams NFL Special With NewTek’s TriCaster
Fox Sports picked NewTek’s TriCaster system to assist in the production of the FOX NFL Preview Special, the first live webcast of the network’s annual preseason NFL summit. The Webcast aired live on August 15.

TriCaster’s portable live-production broadcast capabilities helped create the look for the pre-season meeting, where the entire NFL on FOX team—including on-air personalities, producers, network executives and special guests — were gathered. The webcast was free to viewers and is archived for encore presentations.

The preview served as FOX Sports’ official kick-off to the 2007 NFL season and will features team-by-team analysis, executive presentations, videos and special NFL guests.

TriCaster is designed to let sports organizations, corporate communications departments, broadcasters, schools, and others provide extended programming and content. Using it, a single operator can produce a live show, switching between as many as six cameras with two VCR’s, multi-channel effects, and NewTek’s proprietary virtual sets and keying technology.
