FOR-A to debut HVS-500HS production switcher in Europe

At IBC2006, FOR-A will make the European debut of its HANABI HVS-500HS video switcher.

The compact HVS-500HS is a self-contained HD/SD video switcher that combines easy operation with the features of the FOR-A line of HANABI production switchers.

The HVS-500HS accepts HD, SD, HDV and DV formats and comes with 10-bit 4:2:2 internal processing. It is well suited for applications such as editing, studio production, mobile production, up-link vans, live production, broadcast television and live staging.

Introduced at NAB2006, the HANABI HVS-500HS offers one DSK channel with chroma key function, two still stores with support for USB import and export of images and picture-in-picture functionality.

The company will also highlight the FRC-7000 HD frame-rate converter with motion compensation processing technology and scene cut detection; the FA-9000 HD/SD frame synchronizer; the VPS-700 GINGA video switcher; and DigiStorm HD/SD Virtual studio.
