Digital Rapids advances content encoding, transcoding, streaming

Digital Rapids unveiled its new scalable, enterprise-level management and control software applications for live streaming and content transcoding at IBC2006.

The new Stream Transcode Manager offers automated job management and intelligent load balancing for media transcoding. In conjunction with multiple transcoding nodes, Stream Transcode Manager manages large transcoding jobs.

The new Stream Broadcast Manager is an enterprise-level management and control application for multiple live streaming encoders. It simplifies operation with centralized scheduling, individual and group resource management and maintenance modes and reporting, while bolstering reliability with failover management and alerts.

Digital Rapids also showed version 2.3 Stream software for its encoding servers with new features such as keyframeable video processing plug-ins and additional closed-caption options.
