Brick House Video to show enhancements to Proteus standards converter

Brick House Video will roll out Proteus-R and upgrades for the Callisto range of switchers at IBC2006.

Proteus-R is a rack-mounted version of the original Proteus-P portable/desktop broadcast specification standards converter series. The range now offers an Aspect Ratio Conversion (ARC) option in addition to 10-bit SDI, analog video and audio I/O, an advanced standards conversion algorithm, and comprehensive audio synchronization.

Proteus-R’s full-width 1RU chassis features a larger display, extended navigation controls and separate audio source and selection indication.

The company also will show an upgraded look and enhanced functionality for its Callisto range of switchers. The range will feature “Hot-Cut,” which allows switching of asynchronous SDI signals directly on the program bus with no freeze frame on output.
