Telecast Fiber Systems has its Mamba line at IBC. The product line encompasses devices for the creation of a fully integrated fiber-optic infrastructure designed for use in mobile production, stadium, campus and fixed broadcast facilities.
The Mamba core consists of low-profile video and audio patchbays integrated into a facility or truck for a fiber-optic interframe with reduced size, weight, and complexity compared to coaxial-based systems. Telecast TAC-48 cable assemblies support truck-to-truck interconnections
"The Mamba overcomes the bandwidth and distance limitations of conventional copper cabling so our clients can produce programming in HD reliably and without needing equalization or amplifiers," said Richard Cerny, fiber systems president of the Worcester, Mass.-based company.
