SmartSound Software announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Sony Creative Software to use SmartSound’s patented automated music scoring process in Sony’s Cinescore soundtrack creation product line.
Under the agreement, Sony has a non-exclusive license to two of SmartSounds patents involving the automatic editing of music to fit user-specified lengths. The patent license covers Cinescore and any current or future products that bundle Cinescore and its technology.
This and other patented technology have been used in soundtrack creation solutions like Sonicfire Pro.
