OmniBus Appoints Jay Schwartzberg Vice President of Worldwide Sales of iTX for New Media Markets

OmniBus Systems, the award-winning provider of comprehensive automation and content management solutions to the broadcast industry, announced the appointment of Jay Schwartzberg as vice president of worldwide sales of iTX. He will be responsible for the telephony, streaming media, and IPTV markets.

The iTX system from OmniBus is a revolutionary new transmission system that builds upon IT-based technology rather than stand-alone hardware for master control and automation operations. This opens up new opportunities to integrate transmission and automation technology for new media initiatives, such as online distribution of entertainment, sports, and news content.

"iTX represents a dramatically different approach to the transmission chain, from ingest to playout, and has much to offer the emerging markets that will be my primary focus in this new position," said Schwartzberg. "I look forward to helping OmniBus build on the success of this groundbreaking new transmission solution."

Prior to joining OmniBus Systems, Schwartzberg was the director of business development - telecom and media vertical for Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Inc., where he was responsible for worldwide sales and marketing. Throughout Schwartzberg's 18 years in the field, he has held a distinguished career of developing new business initiatives, leading global sales, and building strong client relationships.

"Given Jay's remarkable track record in combining advanced computing technology with new solutions for IT-centric broadcast operations, I am extremely confident that he will be a strong asset in building the worldwide sales of iTX," stated Mike Oldham, CEO at OmniBus. "His knowledge of the systems at the very foundation of iTX is extensive, and we are very fortunate to have him on the OmniBus team."

Schwartzberg will be based in the New York area and will report to Oldham.
