MPEG Industry Forum Presents Master Class

The MPEG Industry Forum (MPEGIF) has announced it will host a full day Master Class entitled "Next Generation Television Technology and Business Models" at IBC2007 in Amsterdam.

The free, full-day conference will take place on Thursday, 6 September 2007, 10 a.m.–5:30 p.m. in Room A at the RAI Convention Center.

This MPEGIF Master Class will focus on how new technologies are changing the way digital television is created, compressed, stored, delivered and monetized. MPEGIF, the world's largest advocacy group for the promotion of MPEG technologies, has confirmed a high-profile line-up of speakers and panellists, including senior executives from BSkyB, T-Com, Fastweb, T-Online, Virgin Media, Telecom Italia, Orange/France Telecom, IPTV Americas, Cinea, Harmonic, NagraVision, Pace, IBM, Sony, Sun, Open TV, Playboy TV, ESPN, 3Vison, ADB, Amino and Telemak.

The topics of the MPEGIF Master Class include Next Generation Television Business Models; Stopping the IP Pirates; New Video Applications and Services; and more. MPEGIF will also provide an update on the widespread adoption of MPEG-4 (including MPEG-4 AVC/H.264) and the MPEGIF Logo Qualification Program.
