Miranda Technologies Inc. today announced the appointment of John Cerquone as national sales manager for production and post-production products, including HDV and DV production interfaces, newsgathering and electronic acquisition interfaces, and computer graphics to video interfaces.
Cerquone brings more than 15 years of broadcast industry experience to this new role, which will involve establishing and developing a channel of resellers and rental houses to distribute and market Miranda's production and acquisition interfacing solutions.
"John comes to Miranda with a wealth of sales and marketing experience," said Joe LoGrasso, Miranda's vice president of sales for the Americas. "He really knows the reseller channel, and the challenges of sales and distribution in this business."
Cerquone previously held sales management positions with both Sony Electronics and Avid Technology. He also successfully launched his own rep firm, which operated in the northeastern United States.
