Max Air Goes West

Euphonix’s 77-city Max Air Broadcast Tour hit the West Coast last month, continuing to work its way to NAB2003 in Las Vegas next month. After NAB, the tour will head back East to another 40 cities, finishing in Florida in September of this year.

Max Air, Euphonix’s new, all-digital broadcast audio mixing console, is the central feature of the vehicle that has been specially commissioned for the tour. The truck is set up to simulate a local TV news studio audio control room, with supporting digital audio and video equipment from such sponsors as Àccom, Miranda Technologies, Pioneer Electronics, 360 Systems, Clear-Com, DK-Audio America, Dolby Laboratories, Genelec, Nvision, TC Electronic, TerraSonde, and Wohler Technologies.

In each city the vehicle will be visiting up to five TV stations, allowing operators, management, and technicians to see the possibilities and powerful features that digital audio and video can bring to local TV operations.
