ENGLEWOOD, COLO. and SEATTLE: Fisher Communications are back on the Dish Network line-up, the two companies said this week. Fisher (NASDAQ: FSCI) and Dish (NASDAQ: DISH) said in a joint statement they’d reached a multiyear distribution agreement. It covers Fisher stations in seven markets, and ends the litigation between the two companies.
The Fisher stations restored to Dish include KOMO-TV and KUNS-TV in Seattle, Wash.; KATU-TV and KUNP-TV in Portland, Ore.; KIMA-TV in Yakima, Wash.; KVAL-TV in Eugene, Ore.; KBCI-TV in Boise, Idaho; KIDK-TV in Idaho Falls, Idaho; and KBAK-TV and KBFX-TV in Bakersfield, Calif. The stations were placed back on Dish systems June 10 at 10:25 p.m.
Fisher owns and operates 13 full-power television stations (including one 50 percent-owned), seven LPTVs and eight radio stations in the Western United States. Dish has around 13.6 million subscribers. – Deborah D. McAdams
