DTG, Pathfire To Jointly Develop Content Management Solution

Austin, TX--Digital Transaction Group (DTG) and Pathfire have partnered to jointly develop a digital content management solution that automatically ingests, connects, and moves programming content and its associated metadata directly to air.
The two companies agreed to license and integrate Pathfire Digital Media Gateway (DMG) protocols, tools, and services with DTG’s AIRO XDS Automation to help stations improve productivity. Product availability is set for the fourth quarter of this year.
"By combining Pathfire’s seamless integration technology with our AIRO XDS Automation System, customers can expect a more efficient and streamlined process for digital content management from acquisition to play to air," said James Brown, DTG vice president. "By eliminating time-consuming manual efforts and potential for errors, it’s a win-win solution for DTG, Pathfire, and, most importantly, for broadcasters working to get content to air in the most efficient, cost-effective manner possible."
"With this agreement, Pathfire and DTG are evolving broadcast automation, enabling broadcasters to receive, store, retrieve, and air programming without any manual intervention, which significantly cuts costs for broadcasters while streamlining station processes for greater workflow efficiency," said Joe Fabiano, Pathfire co-chief technical officer.
