Crispin Corporation Expands Support Staff Expertise

Crispin Corporation, a worldwide leader in broadcast automation software, equipment, services and support, announced the appointment of Peter Bombar as projects manager.

Bombar, 48, brings to the company 20 years of technical expertise and management of broadcast and telecommunications operations. In his capacity as Projects Manager, Bombar will call on his background in project management, training, customer service and technology integration to help support Crispin's growing customer base and manage large-scale, complex broadcast installations. In addition, Bombar’s hiring strengthens Crispin’s project management capabilities.

"We value Peter's vast broadcast knowledge, project management experience and his ability to support complex installations, especially at the PBS level,” said Dave Neal, chief executive officer of Crispin Corporation.

Bombar was previously with WSKG, a Binghamton, NY PBS station from 1993-2005 as DTV Project Manager & Chief Audio Engineer, where he was responsible for multiple project aspects including overseeing facilities and equipment, technical monitoring, EAS broadcast systems, technology upgrades, automation systems and budgets. Bombar advised senior management on new technologies, strategic impact, capital planning and budgets, as well as operations and technology standards. He coordinated with teams and managed outside vendors and project integration services. Bombar will be based out of Crispin's headquarters in Durham, North Carolina.

“I am confident my strengths will help Crispin continue to provide unsurpassed support services in the marketplace,” said Bombar.

Prior to his work with WSKG, Bombar was a recording engineer at Pyramid Sound Studios, a state of the art recording facility before opening his own Open Recording Studios. While at Pyramid, Bombar helped record a number of gold records for various artists including Anthrax, Overkill and Raven. At Open Studios, Bombar recorded, mixed and produced over 200 CD releases, engineered audio post for several WSKG documentaries, three winning NYS Emmy awards, and produced several corporate video projects. He was also a production coordinator at WETM-TV, where he helped produce an afternoon news program, recognized by New York State with a Broadcasters Award for Excellence. Bombar holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and audio/video communications from Elmira College, Elmira, NY.

Bombar joins two new recent additions to the Crispin service and support team, Jill Baldwin as tech support supervisor and Patrick Hancock as customer support technician.
